Richard

Richard was born in England where he grew up playing soccer. He played professionally for Brentford before injury cut short his career. After two years out of the game, he played semi-pro and then became involved in coaching.


Richard was head coach of several semi-pro teams before becoming chief scout for the Southern Region for Oldham Athletic in England's League One. He has also worked summer camps coaching soccer for Challenger Sports (British Soccer) and was awarded Coach of the Year in 1999.


Richard holds UEFA B, USSF A, and USSF National Youth Licenses. He also earned the NSCAA Premier Diploma (Distinguished Pass) and has his International Diploma for SAQ (Speed, Agility, and Quickness) fitness. The SAQ program is widely used for conditioning by English Premiere League clubs.


Richard has a wealth of coaching experience with youth at the highest levels. Richard is also a North Texas and NSCAA educator of coaches. He also served as an Assistant Coach on the US Men's National Paralympic team. Paralympic players have cerebral palsy, stroke injuries or traumatic brain injuries.
